Of the 412 million children living in extreme monetary poverty, the vast majority are concentrated in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. Sub-Saharan Africa alone accounts for roughly 300+ million children in extreme poverty — about three-quarters of the global total. Africa's greatest assets are its young people.
